Veteran's Day 2010

In the beginning of a change, the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
Veterans Day Quotes by Mark Twain

Next Thursday is Veteran's Day 2010.

What does this mean to you?

To so many of the younger generations, this day has lost it's true meaning; the remembrance and honoring of the brave men and women who sacrificed for the freedoms that we enjoy.

Our nation is in the midst of change; for many, change for the better; for just as many, change for worse.

Regardless of how/what you believe, we are all Americans and must stand united...One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

During the coming week, thank a Veteran.

inspired, Many years we went without any recognition,,Even today, the current fighters are being disenfranchized by their individual states by not mailing their absentee ballots in time for them to be returned and counted ,,,,So the ones that are guarenteeing our votes can't vote themselves. The states involved should presecute those responsible. The States know their responsibilities as it relates to their military and voting...No Excuses......

Thank a Veteran ... You bet, it's the least we can do.

But while we are at it, we can do our part too. We can volunteer to help those that need it, and not try to get out of doing what we know is our duty. That includes juty-duty and voting.

As for the disenfranchisement of overseas military voters ... if it is found to be an error in how those states do business ... then fix it immediately. If it is a deliberate attempt to surpress the military vote ... then those responsible should be convicted of felony's ... and that would mean that THEY could no longer vote (except maybe in Chicago)
